How to Bring "GREEN" 2 Beauty
Are you graduating from cosmology school, setting up your own shop in town or selling beauty on the web? Are you wondering what will be the next trend, or beauty breakthrough? Have you thought about what will set your business above the rest? and of course, what will bring you the most ROI? (return on investment) How about having the client finesse skills that retain and bring future clientele. Overwhelmed? I don't blame you.
First, lets talk about the "beauty market" if you will. The customer dictates the new "flavor" for beauty. Since, I have been keeping my EYE ON BEAUTY, including color trends, fashion, style, haircare, I can identify that the customer is looking for "science" to bring back natural beauty to cosmetics. So what does this mean to you as a hair stylist, colorist or makeup artist? As an artist myself, I can safely say that "color" will come and go, trends and fads will be buried and resurrected forever, but one thing is for sure, the "green" beauty customer is looking for safer, non-toxic, high quality home grown beauty from "botanicals" not from the "bottle." I am so passionately engrossed on educating young women and men on researching and buying safer products for home and professional use. This is not a trend. Bringing Green to Beauty is now becoming a "Lifestyle" for many. This idea is based on health and well-being for the betterment of society to live a "richer" and greener" life. If you take your health seriously then take your beauty seriously...and go green.
How You Can Bring GREEN 2 Beauty
I have now created a resource of professionals that do just that. They Bring natural green and Organic beauty to makeup artist, hair stylist cosmologist and skincare professionals. There is a huge network of "green beauty formulators" that no one knows about. They hide in their labs; intoxicating themselves with the goodness of beauty in nature and bring pleasure to all that seek to find natural ways to exfoliate skin, clear acne scars, or envelope their body in organic essential oils. Diet Slim-Down!
Take 10 lbs. Off the Tasty Way!
That stubborn 10 lbs can be a real pain in the A**. Especially if most of your weight seems to hibernate in the "rear" view mirror. Sticking to a diet can be sickening.... If I can, I try to eat healthy everyday. This is a tough task since I have a "carb tooth". The carb tooth can be just a disastrous as a "sweet tooth"....ughhhh! Although I have discovered, if I stick to some basic food groups, such as plants and whole grains - I maybe able to vanquish my closet-eating carb urge and let go of some extra lbs. Here is my first "green" healthy recipe to do just that.
The Green and White Burrito
You Will Need: low fat or whole grain soft taco shells. 1 can of
chicken broth, 1 Can of white beans, 1 bag of spinach. 1 bag of
Romain Lettuce, 1 bag of low fat Mexican shredded cheese. Directions:
* in a small sauce pan saute 1/2 of white beans & 1/2 cup of spinach in chicken broth. bring to a slight boil. Add 1 tsp of EVO and remove from burner. Set to the side.
* in a small frying pan. place burrito in pan and drizzle EVO on both sides. Slightly brown burrito and add 1/4 of Mexican cheese blend, 1/2 of sauteed beans and spinach. Then, fold the burrito over.
Sprinkle a hand full of lettuce on top and serve warm. Calories 310

Vanilla Fig-Butter Berry Slim Shake

Mom, Dad, the whole family can slim down on this simple and tasty low-fat shake!
Ingredients:
Organic Rice Milk
Organic low-fat or fat-free vanilla yogurt
Fig-butter spread
Hand full of Mixed Berries
1/2 cup of ice cubes
In a blender combine 1 cup of Rice Milk, 1 cup of Vanilla Yogurt and 1 table spoon of fig-butter spread and 1/2 cup of ice cubes.
blend well. 1/4 cup of Mixed Berries or fruit of your choice. Fill up your 8.oz glass. This refreshing low-cal drink is filling and tasty. Excellent breakfast drink. I don't usually count calories. About 350 cals.
